Report looks into stability in the construction industry

"Stability in the Industry", that's the aim of a strategic study of construction, due to be completed in May. A summary of progress in the "Dunlop" report has now been given to interested parties. Amongst the aims, improvement in workforce training, industry profile and better management of Government projects. DTI Minister Alex Downie says the recent awarding of 40% of the work at the prison, in "Mechanical and Engineering" or "M and E" , to a local consortium is an example of " shopping local":
