by isleofman.com 27th March 2006
Manx Harriers racewalkers were in Dudince, Slovakia for the European A.A. Grand Prix meeting on Saturday.

In the 20K Marie Latham finished in 1:55:27 secs 11th overall.

Unfortunately Peter Kaneen was disqualified at around 14K.

Robert Moore had a fantastic walk in the Junior Men's 10K event beating his PB to record 53:10 to finish 11th. In the Junior Women's 10K Emma Latham went just over the hour finishing in 60:38 in 12th.

Elizabeth Corran was the only lady in the Vets 5K event finishing in 28:33. Dougie Corkill also walked in this race recording 31:03 to finish 8th. Lauren Whelan won the 'Younger girls' 3K race in 16:45 and possibly the performance of the day came from 10 year old Sinead Kaneen who switched from her scheduled 1K event to 3K race at short notice and finished 3rd in 18:47. Sinead was the youngest competitor in this race by over a year- a superb performance!.

Steve Taylor was also there using his international walks judge qualifications
