Care Inquiry report due out soon

by isleofman.com 28th March 2006
The findings of the inquiry into the care of young people in the Island will be made known next month.

A report's due to be published following last year’s Commission of Inquiry, which was set up to examine the circumstances which led to the deaths of Samantha Barton and George Green in February 2002.

Both had been in social services care and Samantha (pictured) was in care at the time of her death.

Willaston man Peter Newbery was convicted of double murder in December 2003.
