Team's triumphant return

The most successful Manx Commonwealth Games team of all time has returned home.

The squad performed with distinction over 10 days of competition in Melbourne.

Shooters David Walton and Trevor Boyles won bronze in the pairs trap shooting and Mark Cavendish won gold in the cycling scratch race.

The plane landed at Ronaldsway at around four o'clock after being delayed between Dubai and Manchester.

The Island’s Lieutenant Governor, Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddocks, was one of the officials welcoming the team back home.

As the Patron of the Isle of Man’s Games Commonwealth association – he says the success has surpassed all expectations:
