There is a risk of flooding in parts of the Island today (Thurs).
With low pressure, a storm surge and strong southwesterly winds, the Met Office says water levels in Douglas are predicted to reach around half a metre above levels in published tide tables, and possibly as high as 8.2 metres at high tide around 12.55pm.
Whilst there is still an element of doubt, predictions suggest there's a risk of flooding around some of the harbour areas, mainly Douglas, Castletown and Ramsey, and water levels may reach over the top of some promenades and coastal roads
There could also be some debris thrown onto exposed routes
Motorists are being advised not to park their cars in areas which may be at risk.
