Dreemskerry action group

by isleofman.com 31st March 2006
There will be a demonstration this afternoon in Maughold against the expansion of the local quarry.

A group called the Dreemskerry Quarry Action Group has been formed to protest against planning proposals.

They claim it would lead not only to a big increase in heavy lorry traffic but it would also create a giant scar on the landscape.

The demonstration starts at 1pm at the house ‘Rockside’ near the Venture centre.
