A main road in Castletown will close for up to seven days from this morning (Saturday) as masonary work on Castle Rushen draws to an end.
The area of the Quay between Castle Street and Bank Street will be shut to allow scaffolding to be removed.
The work will be bring an end to several weeks of delays caused by traffic lights in the town.
The lights were put in place in January when work began to repoint masonry at the castle.
Traffic had to be reduced to single file past the Glue Pot pub as a result.
If the weather is fine, the road could be open again as soon as Wednesday morning.
