Bacchas A are celebrating after clinching the women’s Division One hockey title in style.
A 4-0 success over closest rivals Castletown A sealed a superb season for a side which has dominated the division.
Fittingly, they secured the title in style, with goals from Donna Harrison, (two), Pippa Henderson and Cristen Callow.
In men’s Division One, Valkyrs A could soon be in party mood themselves after a 6-1 thrashing of Ramsey A ensured they should soon be champions themselves.
A hat-trick from Gerry Quinn, plus strikes from Greg Miller, Chris Thomas and Vic Fearnes sealed an excellent victory.
Reigning champions Bacchas A may be about to relinquish their crown but they showed no mercy to bottom club Castletown A with an 11-1 demolition,.
Dave Kneale scored an amazing NINE, with Tom Wilson grabbing the others.
However, the leading individual marksmen of the day was in men’s Division Three, where Paul Kerruish scored TEN goals as Ramsey Roosters demolished Castletown C to complete a miserable day for the southerners.
