Public can give written evidence to police probe

by isleofman.com 1st April 2006
Members of the public have been invited to give their opinions on the police complaints procedure. A select committee of Tynwald is looking into a petition for redress of grievance for a former Manchester police officer Roy Redmayne, who complained about the Manx force following an incident in Castletown. Anybody who wants to submit written evidence to the committee can now do so – although the deadline for submissions is April 28. If you’d like to express your views on how effective the procedure is, you can write to the Clerk of Tynwald at the Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
