National success for Kennaugh

Manx cyclist Peter Kennaugh has won the first race of the National Junior Road Race Series.

The opening stage in central Wales lasted was a tough 60-mile course.

Kennaugh was in all of the important moves and managed to force a five-man break in the final 20 miles.

With three miles left, Kennaugh and team mate from the UK Alex Dowset fought for first place.

It ended up being a photo finish.

Kennaugh now faces a gruelling 70-mile race today.
