Health warning after measles death in UK

by isleofman.com 3rd April 2006
Public Health Consultant Doctor Paramishwaran Kishore says he does not believe that vaccination against measles should be made compulsory.

Dr Kishore was commenting after news that a 13 year boy in Britain had died from the disease, and that the number of cases has increased dramatically in the last few years.

It is thought that is due to parent concerns over possible side effects of the MMR jab leading to a drop off in the numbers vaccinated.

Dr KIshore says informing parents is the better way to deal with it.
