Council leader steps down

by isleofman.com 3rd April 2006
Douglas’s first female Council Leader is thanking her colleagues for their support over the past two years.

Lynda Ramsay has announced she’ll be stepping down at the end of her term, next month.

It also means she automatically leaves her post as Chairman of the policy and resources committee.

During her time in the role she’s seen the completion of the new state of the art service centre at Ballacottier.

She has also seen the phase two refurbishment of the town hall.

She says "it’s time to stand aside to let someone else have their input into the roles".
