Tribute to Bob Mawsom MBE

Former Governor Sir Laurence New has been paying tribute to Bob Mawsom, who died yesterday in Noble’s Hospital.

Bob Mawsom was given an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours List and only three weeks ago flew to London.

There, he managed to meet Her Majesty despite a long-running illness.

Sir Laurence (pictured) says his favourite memory is of Mr Mawsom’s boundless energy and enthusiasm:
