Manx space failure

by isleofman.com 4th April 2006
An American entrepreneur who is planning on sending tourists into space says his company thought the Isle of Man too expensive to set up in.

Sam Dinkin of Spaceshot Incorporated says he talked to regulators in the Isle of Man to set up a game website here.

Winners who can predict the weather in New York’s Central Park over a period of time will win a flight into space.

But Mr Dinkin revealed he would have to spend too much on licensing and web-hosting to make his company viable, and he eventually decided to keep the business in America.

But if you’re still interested in trying your hand as a weather forecaster and astronaut, you can find his website at www.space-shot.com
