A Manx-registered oil tanker is having its hull examined by divers after running aground in Finland.
The Weserstern became stuck on rocks just ten metres from shore, suffering slight damage and losing none of its seven and a half thousand tonne cargo of naptha.
The ship was towed off rocks, and a damage assessment is already underway, along with an investigation as to how the accident happened.
The tanker, registered in the Isle of Man, was carrying its cargo for Borealis, a leading supplier of polyethylene and polypropylene.
