Speed limit debate motors on

The Isle of Man should become tougher on driving regulations and not focus simply on speed, according to the Tourism Minister.

Douglas MHK David Cretney was speaking about the possibility of a 60 mile per hour speed limit being implemented on the Island’s derestricted roads.

A second public consultation is being launched to gauge Manx public opinion.

He wants to see MOT’s being implemented, he supports speed cameras in residential areas and wants additional support and training for young people.
