Burned out car update

Police say a car which was discovered burning in Glen Maye had been stolen.

The grey Renault Laguna – licence plate GMN423V – was taken from the rear of Buchanan BMW on Bucks Road, Douglas over the weekend.

It was spotted in Slieau Whallian Park in St John’s and was found ablaze on Garey Road near the Arrasey Plantation entrance.

The fire could be seen from several miles away and blocked the road until emergency services could deal with the incident.
