The proposed 14% increase in nursing home charges has been put on hold until 1st July.
The Health Minister’s urged 5 of the main homes to put prices up by just 5 %, stating the elderly and their families would struggle to pay the proposed total of ?695.
The prices are currently being investigated by the Office of Fair Trading.
