Mountain Road reopened

by isleofman.com 5th April 2006
The Mountain Road has reopened, three and a half weeks early.

Work on Windy Corner was completed yesterday and after an inspection this morning the Department of Transport announced the road open.

There’s a new camber on the road, the corner is slightly wider and there are hatch markings to warn drivers.

The news will be welcomed by motorists who had to use alternative routes for a month, as well as bikers who will find the bend easier to negotiate.
