Problem pool players face punishment

The Isle of Man Pool Players Association has vowed to deal with the players who's actions led to a premature end to a recent inter-district tournament.

A number of clashes, some violent, forced Tournament Director Rob Callister to cut the event short due to safety concerns for the spectators.

It was Rob's last event in charge and he says it's left a bitter taste in his mouth, especially as the standard had been so high.

He's offered his apologies to spectators, sponsors and other players.

Rob and Vice Chairman of the Isle of Man Pool Players Association, Carl Toombs, says it's an element of the game which needs to be rooted out:
