Island 7th best for pay

by isleofman.com 7th April 2006
The Isle of Man is in the top ten nations in Europe for pay, according to an influential employers organisation.

The Federation of European Employers shows the Island lying seventh in a league table of countries.

Top of the list is Norway, and the Isle of Man is just below Guernsey in the table.

The F.E.E. says although there are large differences in gross pay, the picture changes dramatically once tax, social security, holiday bonus supplements and differences in spending power are taken into account.

The employees who turn out to be the best off are those in Luxembourg.
