The Island has "gross over-capacity" when it comes to airline services.
That's according to John Seymour, the Chief Executive of local operator Euromanx.
Speaking on this morning's Talking Heads programme on Manx Radio, he said the nine airlines currently operating out of the Island means there are more seats than customers:
