Student grants schemes

by isleofman.com 8th April 2006
The Department of Education says students from the Island won’t have to pay top up fees for universities in the UK.
After new student awards regulations were approved, the Department says the ?3,000 per year fees will be paid for from the public purse.
As well as this, students can also continue to claim maintenance grants – though these continue to be means-tested.
To qualify for fees and grants, applicants now need to be resident in the Island for three years prior to going away to study.
