The switch-over to digital in 2008 might cause some local viewers concern, but help is at hand.
A series of meetings will be held later this month, designed to help Island residents cope when the switch from analogue takes place.
The Border TV region, which includes the Isle of Man, will be the first to switch as the phased build-up begins to the UK going totally digital by 2012.
Officers from Digital UK and the UK departments of Trade and Industry and Culture, Media and Sport will be in the Island on April the 24th.
Meetings at Keyll Darree lecture theatre in Noble's Hospital will be held to explain why the digital switchover is happening, how to prepare for it, the support in place for vulnerable people and to raise public awareness.
There will be three separate meetings – for local authority representatives, voluntary and community groups – and another for retailers, aerial installers, hoteliers, property developers and entertainment premises.
