Landfill goes to Archallagan

by isleofman.com 12th April 2006
Middle MHK Martyn Quayle says he’s disappointed the Department of Local Government and the Environment has confirmed its decision to put a new landfill site at Archallagan Plantation.

Minister John Rimington says a review into possible locations around the Island has come up with the same conclusion as the original considerations.

Planning issues mean the site will be smaller than first proposed, but the plans will now go ahead despite local opposition.

Middle MHK Martyn Quayle says he only found out when it was announced in the media.
