Fire advice after blaze in Douglas

by isleofman.com 14th April 2006
The Isle of Man’s fire and rescue service is warning people to make sure all electrical appliances are switched off before they leave their homes. It’s after a blaze in Switzerland Terrace, just off Queen's promenade, Douglas on Thursday afternoon. The property was severely damaged but noone was hurt. The fire service is also advising residents to close all doors and windows in the event of a fire to help stop the spread of the blaze. It also wants people to keep their buildings and contents insurance up to date.
