The Isle of Man Milk Marketing Association says cheese prices could fall later this year.
The average price for cheese in February was ?1,946 per tonne – but the association says cheese curd prices are around ?100 less.
There are concerns for the industry as this could lead to a decline in prices in summer or autumn.
But it’s not all doom and gloom – a deal with a UK supermarket chain will insulate the industry from price falls for at least six months.
