Disappointment for Cavendish at World Champs

by isleofman.com 16th April 2006
Laxey cyclist Mark Cavendish and Rob Hayles have lost their World Madisson title.

The pair finished outside the medals in 4th place in Bordeaux, France.

Mark did not finish Saturday's Scratch Race, the event he won at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Riders who competed a month ago in Australia have generally had a disappointing time at the World Track Championships.
