Fatstock costs rising

by isleofman.com 17th April 2006
The Isle of Man Fatstock Marketing Association is feeling the pinch of higher energy costs.

In the April newsletter of the Isle of Man Agricultural Marketing Society, the association says factory costs at the Meat Plant had risen by ?5,000 pounds over the last year.

?3,000 of this figure is due to power cost increases, according to the executive committee.

The committee adds continued criticism of costs by the media and politicians is affecting staff morale.
