World War Two grenade discovered on Ramsey beach

More potentially-dangerous explosives from World War Two are likely to be washed up on northern Manx shores for some years to come.
That's according to the Isle of Man Coastguard after a hand grenade was found on Ramsey Beach, near Mooragh Promenade, by a member of the public at the weekend.
The area was sealed off and the device guarded throughout Sunday night, as a Navy bomb disposal team was dispatched to the Island.
The device was moved and destroyed in a controlled explosion yesterday (Monday) morning.
Coastguard Sector Manager North, Michael MacDonald, says no-one knows how many such devices are still at sea - but has this advice for anyone who finds a suspect object:
