The Manx Trials Club held the first round of the Pre 65 and Twin Shock mini-series at West Baldwin Bridge.
The trial attracted a good entry of 26 riders and the ride of the day went to Andrew Cannell on his Beamish/Suzuki, who dropped only six marks despite the muddy conditions.
Andrew and Stephen Collins, on a Tiger Cub, were the only riders to master section five, which consisted of a tricky turn around a fallen tree root in deep mud.
Roy Wilson, back from Florida, would surely have been in contention for the Pre 65 win, but his chain came off on four sections putting him down the order. The oldest rider rule split the ties.
