Cheese prices set to fall?

by isleofman.com 18th April 2006
The Isle of Man Milk Marketing Association says cheese prices could fall later this year.
The average price for cheese in February was ?1,946 pounds per tonne – but the Association says cheese curd prices are around ?100 less.
There are concerns for the industry as this could lead to a decline in prices in summer or autumn.
But it’s not all doom and gloom – a deal with a UK supermarket chain will insulate the industry from price falls for at least six months.
