by isleofman.com 18th April 2006
It's now known a diver who died in an accident over the weekend was from Liverpool.
The 41 year-old was in a party of ten when he got into difficulties whilst diving some 15 miles off the coast of Port Erin.
The lifeboat was launched and he was brought ashore but pronounced dead by paramedics.
Police say inquiries are continuing into the cause of the accident and diving equipment used by the group has been retained for examination.
The Coroner's Office has contacted the dead man's relatives, although his name has not been officially released.
