Listen to people, urges lobby group

by isleofman.com 19th April 2006
The Positive Action Group are calling on members of Tynwald to listen to the voice of the Manx people.
The political lobby group came into being last month and aims to shake up the political scene and encourage more people to get out and vote.
Vice chairman of the PAG, Jeff Garland, says they believe that ALL members of Tynwald should be elected by the public, and over the years the Legislative Council has become a "repository for played-out politicians".
Mr Garland says the group is hoping to make a difference at the General Election in November.
