Withdrawn advertising campaign 'achieved its goal', says highways director

by isleofman.com 20th April 2006
Director of Highways Bruce Hannay has defended a 'withdrawn' advertising campaign on the all-Island speed limit consultation.
The commercials were pulled after the Communications Commission claimed they were in breach of the code of advertising and sponsorship because they were overtly biased.
But Mr Hannay says he doesn’t necessarily agree the adverts breached guidelines.
He says the campaign had achieved its goal.
