Depression can affect up to 20 per cent of population

Up to 20 per cent of the population will suffer from depression at some stage in their lives.
The figure has been highlighted during National Depression Awareness Week.

Clinical psychologist on the Island, Dr Helen Nightingale, says recent guidelines from the National Institute for Clinical Excellence, show there are now two techniques which must be involved in providing good treatment for the condition.
