The Earl and Countess of Wessex are to visit the Island next month.
They will travel here on Thursday, May the fourth when they’ll attend the presentation of Royal Humane Society Awards and lunch with the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.
In the afternoon, His Royal Highness will tour the newly refurbished Tynwald Precincts, while Her Royal Highness visits Nobles Hospital.
Later that evening, they’ll both attend a reception to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
It will be their first visit to the Island since July 2001 when they opened the Island Games at the National Sports Centre.
