There were some impressive individual performances as the Isle of Man team took a silver medal in the National Younger age group championships at Sheffield.
The medal came in the under 15 girls three kilometres race walk and capped an excellent day for the junior team and coach Liz Corran.
Sinead Kaneen was first to race in the under 13 girls two kilometre event.
Competing as a guest walker, the ten year-old (still a year too young to compete in this age group) headed the entire field of boys and girls to finish first in a personal best time of 11 minutes 43 seconds.
She was eight seconds ahead of the leading boy and 21 seconds clear of the girls championship winner, Jessica Tandy, from Nuneaton Harriers.
In the under 15 girls three kilometre event, Lauren Whelan claimed a silver medal in 16.30, which equalled her personal best at the distance.
She finished 17 seconds behind the winner, Natalie Myers from Sheffield.
Kirsty Taylor also raised her game and recorded a big personal best, finishing in fifth position and recording 18.47.
That enabled the Manx girls to claim a team silver medal, behind the City of Sheffield club.
