Valkyrs A celebrate championship in style

by isleofman.com 22nd April 2006
Valkyrs A showed exactly why they’re league champions by thrashing the side they’ve disposed of at the top with a 4-1 victory against Bacchas A on Saturday.

A hat-trick from a player who played such an integral role in Valkyrs’ title triumph, the prolific Gareth Morris, brought the curtain down in style on the club’s league campaign.

Chris Caldwell grabbed the other goal with another regular marksman, Dave Kneale, scoring the Bacchas’ consolation.

Elsewhere in Division One, the ever improving Ramsey A thrashed Phoenix A 7-0, while Vikings A hit ten past bottom club Castletown A, led by a Christian Steriopolous treble.

In women’s Division One, the talented Donna Harrison scored SEVEN times as the champions thrashed Valkyrs A 10-1.
