Island residents feature in Sunday Times Rich List

Some of the wealthiest businessmen, financiers and industrialists in the Isle of Man are featured in the Sunday Times Rich List, published today (Sunday().

The owner of property group Peel Holdings - John Whittaker - tops the Island's league table and is among a select super-rich club of billionaires.

Developer Albert Gubay and race horse owner Trevor Hemmings come second and third, with the Strix magnates Eddie Davies (pictured) and John Taylor also high in the rankings.

The six Manx entries in the Rich List have a combined wealth of more than ?1,800 million.
