Planners drop parking requirements

by isleofman.com 24th April 2006
Planners have approved plans for the redevelopment of the Callows Yard site in Castletown.

After an unusual 'oral hearing' a fortnight ago they have dropped a condition for car parking. That had been a sticking point for the substantial proposals to build houses, retail units, apartments, maisonettes, a coffee shop and town square in the area currently taken up with derelict properties between Malew and Arbory Streets.

The approval is subject to possible appeal.
