There were some strong rides from Manx cyclists over the weekend.
Andrew Roche was the convincing winner of one of Ireland's most famous cycling competitions, the Shay Elliot Memorial Race in Bray.
Roche was part of the decisive 32 man lead group in the 163 kilometre race, which was stretched at the severe ascent of the Old Wicklow Gap.
Back on the road and there was sporadic attacking from various riders, most notably Roche.
The cyclists regrouped but Roche again made a break and looking strong, had the legs to power his way to the finish line with a 9 seconds advantage.
Roche is the man to watch in next month's FBD Ras, a race he won in 1997.
Jonathan Bellis won what's arguably the toughest U.K. Junior Road Race on Sunday; the Junior Tour of the Peak District.
Bellis was part of a group of three, which led the peloton by 40 seconds as the main group began to break up.
The 17 year old then dug deep, crossing the line 12 seconds in front of the bunch sprint.
Peter Kennaugh was forced to retire after his saddle came off.
