The funeral of former Second Deemster, His Honour Henry Callow takes place this morning (Tues).
He passed away during the early hours of Good Friday after a long illness, at the age of 79.
Deemster Callow was a well know advocate in the Island before being appointed High Bailiff in 1969. He held that position for 19 years, and was then Second Deemster until his retirement in 1993.
In 1994 he was awarded the CBE.
Last week over 100 members of the Manx bar paid tribute to Deemster Callow, and the church at Kirk Christ, Lezayre, is expected to be packed for the funeral service this morning.
The weekly High Bailiff court will not start until around 1pm due to members of the judiciary attending the service. However, whilst it's understood that some members of Tynwald will be present, the monthly sitting of Tynwald will continue as normal at 10.30.
The funeral will be held at 10.45 am followed by a private cremation.
