Pan fire warning

Householders are being warned about the dangers of leaving pans unattended on cookers after a fire in Douglas yesterday (Tues).

It happened in Wesley Terrace, Douglas, at around 6.30pm.

Two appliances attended and firemen using breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze which had been caused by a grill pan.

There were no injuries in the incident and the fire was confined to the kitchen.
