The Island's Overseas Aid Committee has pledged ?65,000 to the severely drought stricken East Africa.
The drought, which has affected eight million people across five countries, is due to the failure of successive rainy seasons.
Chairman George Waft MLC (pictured) says the Committee is very pleased to be able to respond to requests for aid with a "significant amount of funding" .

Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia have been particulary devastated, with the drought having a severe effect on their crops and livestock.
The Grant is being split between Concern Worldwide which is being given ?45,000 and UNICEF who will recieve the remaining ?25,000.
UK Executive Director of Concern Worldwide Lyndall Stein has praised the Isle of Man for its considerable contribution.
And UNICEF's David Bull said the money will go a long way towards protecting vulnerable children in East Africa from malnutrition and disease.
