Late delivery of speed limit questionnaire

Hundreds of copies of the controversial all-Island speed limit questionnaire have now been delivered to homes in Ramsey, more than week late. Around 500 households in one part of the town didn't receive the consultation questionnaire. A statement admitting the error has been jointly issued by the Department of Transport and the Isle of Man Post Office. Director of Highways, Bruce Hannay, says they acted immmediately, as soon as the problem came to light and the closing date for responses has been extended:
