MHK critical of vote against referendum

An MHK who wants Legislative Council members to be publicly elected says he is not surprised Tynwald has rejected the move.

West Douglas MHK Dominic Delaney called for a referendum to be held on the same day as the General Election in November.

He says there are numerous reasons why current members voted against the idea, and why it's taken so long to get to a vote:
