DoT member defends speeding consultation

"Not emotive and not prejudicial" is the verdict of a department of transport member on the consultation exercise it held on the possible introduction of an all-Island speed limit. In Tynwald this week Transport Minister Phil Braidwood faced an angry reaction to the one-sided way in which some members felt the campaign was being run. However, his departmental colleague, Captain Andrew Douglas (pictured), says the campaign was about more than just speed:
