Robertshaw to contest East Douglas

by isleofman.com 28th April 2006
Transport Minister Phil Braidwood will face a challenge from a high profile hotelier in November's general election.

Chris Robertshaw has declared his intention to contest the two seat constituency of East Douglas.

Mr Robertshaw retired recently as managing director of the Sefton Hotel.

He claims that "lately Tynwald has become a club for its sitting members and has increasingly lost touch with the electorate".

The other sitting member in East Douglas is Brenda Cannell.
