The Manx Music Festival reaches its traditional climax this evening (Saturday) with the Cleveland Medal Test in the Royal Hall at the Villa Marina (pictured).
As usual it will be contested by the winners of the six special solo classes, and this year the line-up includes two previous winners.
Tenor Ernie Thorn won his only Cleveland Medal exactly 30 years ago and Bass Terry Qualtrough has also enjoyed previous success in the competition.
Tonight's other finalists are Special Contralto Jane Mayne, Baritone Kenneth Bawden, Soprano Ruth Tickle, and Mezzo Soprano Mandy Griffin.
The evening gets underway at seven o'clock, with a choir concert class and the vocal duets class for the Billown Rose Bowl.
And Judith Ley will be presenting a two hour "finals night" special, including full coverage of the Cleveland Medal Test, from 10.00 pm on Sunday.
The 2006 Manx Music Festival attracted 1,700 entries for its 180 music, speech and dance classes.
